Grade 4 Visit Symphony Hall

On March 11, 2020 Grade Four from Immaculate Conception Parish School attended Boston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concert. Principal Stephen Hanley and Mrs. Nicholas accompanied my class as chaperones.

The theme of the concert was - The Beautiful Sounds of Friendship: A Musical Look at Connectivity and Belonging.

From the very beginning of the concert, Conductor Thomas Wilkins drew the audience into his magical web. Complex pieces of music from Dancers of Tumblers, Allegro, and Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G minor became understandable for students.

The message of connectivity and belonging clearly matched to the chosen pieces with Conductor Wilkins’s engaging message. My students were captured completely!
